We made it to our first stop! Staying with some truly great people! Even though we arrived after 8:30pm, they had a hot supper prepared and ready for us (which was delicious!). Such genuine care and love for people. These folks are like extended family.
The next day, we all went to work at the fire station where Stephen stayed last year during the hurricane Ida recovery time. They did a little bit of everything…washing trucks, making meals, playing “incline football”. Such a fun day at the station!

I can’t say enough how blessed we are for meeting such a wonderful family. Thank you so much for making your first stop our home. Already looking forward to the next time we can meet up. Until then I’m excited to follow y’all’s journey. Stay safe and love you all.
