The weather has been absolutely beautiful here! The highs are in the upper 70’s and lows in the low 40’s. We hung around home base and went exploring, 4 wheel riding, playroom playing, and had lunch.

Then we loaded up and headed to salt creek falls. The plans were to go on a “hike” and play in the water if it wasn’t too cold…well, we went on quite the hike! Straight down the side of the mountain! All the kids were so concerned and caring towards me. Every few minutes one of them was asking if I was ok…evidently I’m not as agile as I used to be and it’s evident! Martin is the only one who “slipped” in the icy cold water as he was helping build a “bridge” for Uncle Andrew to cross over on. All in all, it was a beautiful area and one of northern Alabama’s “secret” spots that we were blessed to see and enjoy.

We had supper, a nice bonfire, fellowship/singing/stories and a delicious chocolate cake with Mr. & Mrs. Haynes. A really nice evening!
